domestic adoption program
To learn more about our Domestic and International adoption programs through Family Services, Inc. or to request an application, contact us at (336)722-8173 and ask for the Coordinator of Adoption Services, or email us at info@fsifamily.org.
We are a licensed child-placing agency in North Carolina and provide a full range of adoption services to families adopting domestically through our Infant Adoption Program, or through private, relative, or out-of-state domestic adoptions:
 | Many wonderful children across North Carolina need loving families. Our domestic Infant Adoption Program has been bringing families together for decades, through our work with prospective adoptive parents interested in infants who come into our agency's custody through our Pregnancy Counseling Program. |
 |
Our Infant Adoption Program services include information, home studies, pre-adoption education, placement, post-placement services, and ongoing support. |
 | To prepare families for adoption, we offer comprehensive and thorough adoption Home Study services which have a strong educational component. Many of the adoptions through our Infant Adoption Program include some Open Adoption features. We also assist with finalizing an adoption in North Carolina, as well as meeting all requirements for post placement supervision. After an adoptive placement is legally final, we offer ongoing support through our Post Adoption (Adoption Connections) Program. |
 | We also work with families who adopt a child of a relative, or the child of a pregnant woman who has already chosen them as adoptive parents for her child. |
 | In addition, we work with other families who are adopting a child or children born in the US, but outside of North Carolina, and who are in need of home study and post-placement services. |
 |
Adoption can be a costly process; however, there are many resources, from grant and loan programs to federal income tax credits, to help make this process possible for families. For information see Affording Your Adoption. For specific information on fees for domestic adoption services through Family Services, Inc., please contact our Adoption Program staff. |
