The first thing to know is that there is absolutely no pressure to choose adoption. You’ll need to take time to learn how adoption works, how it will impact the future of you and your baby, and carefully consider if this is the right decision for you. Our counselor will be with you every step of the way.

	Choose the adoptive family for your baby. You'll read about families and see their photo album.
	You'll know that all of our waiting families have been screened and approved according to agency and North Carolina standards.
	You can choose to meet and get to know the adoptive parents before you deliver.
	Your baby can be placed with the adoptive family directly from the hospital.
	You choose how much openness or contact you want with the adoptive family and your child in the future - sharing letters and pictures, e-mails, or visiting with the family.
