Volunteers learn life skills while training to provide coverage for our crisis lines. Trainees will learn to relate effectively to others in need as well as to family, friends and co-workers.
Training includes the following topics:
- Listening skills
- Crisis intervention
- Domestic violence
- Sexual assault
- Diversity in the population
- Issues of aging
- Criminal justice
- Community resources
- Trauma response
And much more!
